How to Create and Use Tags

Overview

Tags are labels that organize your contacts and conversations. For example, you can make a tag called 10% Discount to keep track of customers who have a discount on their next purchase, or In-Person, for contacts you met face-to-face.



How to Create a Tag

  • Click the black arrow at the top right of the screen to show a drop down menu
  • Click Tags

 

  • Click the blue + sign in the top lefthand corner
  • Name the tag and click Save

Decide how you plan to use tags and be consistent. Too many tags can get confusing.


How to Assign a Tag to a Contact

  • Click on People in the left navigation to show a drop down menu
  • Click Contacts
  • Choose a contact
  • Click Add Tag and select a tag 
  • Click Save

You can also add Contacts to a Tag when uploading a CSV. In the CSV, add a column for Tags. In that column, include a comma separated list for the Tags you want your contact to be apart of.


How to Remove a Tag from a Contact

  • Click on People in the left navigation to show a drop down menu
  • Click Contacts
  • Choose a contact
  • Hover over the tag to remove and click the small


How to View All Contacts with a Tag

  • Click the black arrow at the top right of the screen to show a drop down menu
  • Click Tags

How to Delete a Tag

  • Click the black arrow at the top right of the screen to show a drop down menu
  • Click Tags
  • Click ••• on a tag and select Delete

Deleting a tag will not affect the contacts that have been assigned that tag.
