How to Create and Use Account Attribute's Custom Date Alerts

You can now send out automated alerts for account attribute's custom dates. For example, if you add an "Enrollment date" attribute to your account, you can send an automatic message to all of your contacts on their Enrollment date.  In order to use custom date alerts, you first need to set up custom date attributes in your settings.   • Click here to go directly to the Custom Date Alerts page or
  • Click on the Account Button, in the top right hand corner of the screen
  • Click on Settings, from the drop down menu
  • Click on the Messaging tab
  • Click on Birthday/Date Alerts
  • Click on button that says Set Up 'Enrollment Number' Message
  • The name of this button will differ, depending on the title of your custom dates. If you haven't set up custom attributes yet, this button will say Set Up 'Custom Date 1' Message.
  • You can create up to 10 custom date messages.

  • Choose what message type you want (Send Message, Run Bot, or Run Drip Campaign) and type the message or select the Bot/Drip.
  • Select the Service: Shout to Shout, Customer Service, or Marketing

  • Set a delivery window for your custom date message to send, so no one gets a text in the middle of the night! Double check that the "Disable custom date 1 message" is not checked.

  • Click Save

  • Click on the Account Button, in the top right hand corner of the screen
  • Click on Settings, from the drop down menu
  • Click on the Messaging tab
  • Click on Birthday/Date Alerts
  • Click on the button that says Update 'Enrollment Number' Message

The name of this button will differ, depending on the title of your custom dates. If you haven't set up custom attributes yet, this button will say Update 'Custom Date 1' Message.

  • Make any needed changes to the message and click Save.


  • Click here to go directly to the Custom Date Alerts page or
  • Click on the Account Button, in the top right hand corner of the screen
  • Click on Settings, from the drop down menu
  • Click on the Messaging tab
  • Click on Birthday/Date Alerts
  • Click on button that says Manually Send 'Enrollment Number' Message.

The name of this button will differ, depending on the title of your custom dates. If you haven't set up custom attributes yet, this button will say Manually Send 'Custom Date 1' Message.

  •  Select contact(s)
  • Click Message Contacts

  • Use Shout Nouns in your custom date messages to make it really personal for your customers.

  • You can choose to add a contact's name through Shout Nouns.


  • See upcoming custom date alerts under, "Enrollment Number" Dates Next 7 Days.

The name of this title will differ, depending on the title of your custom dates. If you haven't set up account attributes yet, this button will say  'Custom Date 1s' dates Next 7 Days.


  • Click here to go directly to the Custom Date Alerts page or
  • Click on the Account Button, in the top right hand corner of the screen
  • Click on Settings, from the drop down menu
  • Click on the Messaging tab
  • Click on Birthday/Date Alerts
  • Click on button that says Update 'Enrollment Number' Message or Update 'Custom Date 1' Message.
  • Check the Disable Message checkbox and click Save

  • You will now see a message in red text that says "Enrollment Number" Message Disabled.

The name of this title will differ, depending on the title of your custom dates.
