How to Manage a Community on Mobile

  • Whenever someone requests to join a community you are an editor of, you will receive a Shout notification in your inbox.

  • Tap on the Followers tab within the Community
  • Tap on Pending Request(s)

  • From Pending requests, you can Decline All or Approve All Requests 
  • Tap on the name of the user to view their request question responses

  • From this page, you can Decline or Approve the user to follow the community

  • From the Approved tab, you can view all approved requests.
  • From the Declined tab, you can view all of the declined requests.

  • Go to www.shout.app from the web browser of your mobile phone

  • Login to your Shout account

  • Tap on Invite Links

  • Tap on the name of the invite link you want to edit

  • Next to Add to Community, tap on Edit

  • Tap on the name of the community you want the user to be added to automatically 
  • Tap Save

  • Tap on Save & Exit


  • Tap on the Community
  • Tap on the Group Chats tab
  • Tap on the name of the group chat 

  • From the Info tab of the group chat tap on Edit
  • Tap on Edit Chat

  • Tap on the Public Page

  • Scroll down and tap to choose a community to auto-approve users to, if they are already following the community
  • Tap on the name of the community
  • Tap on Select
  • Tap on Save

  • Tap on Bots
  • Tap on the name of the bot you want to edit
  • Tap on Edit Bot - you will then be directed to Shout on the web browser of your mobile phone
  • Choose a question to add an action to
  • Tap on Add Action

  • Tap on Add to Community

  • Tap on the name of the Community you want to add contacts to
  • Tap on Add Action

  • Tap on Save

  • Editors is the term used to describe the administrators of the community.
  • Group chats have admins and communities have editors.
